Drove over an hour here today to shoot at this range & I wasn’t disappointed AT ALL..the range was all that and then some!! & the staff was very friendly and accommodating thanks guy for making our shooting experience today great we’ll be back soon

When you walk into a place you shouldn't feel like an inconvenience, and unfortunately that's how I felt there. I went looking for my first gun over the weekend and decided to go to D5. It is clean, beautiful on the inside, inventory was okay, but the staff was not very helpful and they seemed more interested in talking with eachother than making a sale. With that being said I left and bought a gun at Marengo Guns.

So not only is D5 the best Gun store in northern Illinois. It has the best indoor range. I’ve been going to D5 around a year now and they just started offering Full Auto Experience. It was AMAZING!! 10 out of 10 would do again.

Place was really cool and they have great inventory but the cashier was rude and not helpful at all. Asked if they had any holsters for my gun (assuming they had an inventory list in their system) and the employee just said “did you check?” in a condescending way. So I went to go check and found nothing. Then went back said there wasn’t any. He didn’t say anything so I asked if he knew where I could get one and all he said “ I don’t know, that gun doesn’t interest me.”. Didn’t get his name but day was 9-30-23

We have been there a couple times the past six months and today was our first range day there. First,everyone that works there is very friendly and helpful so far not one bad experience with any staff. The range was roomy, and lit up,we really liked the range. We are going to the range again and maybe try one of the classes. It was great to see American Made t-shirts we had to buy one.

Highly recommend the range for shooting and the classes they offer. I took the Women's Basic Pistol class with Jeremy. The course is very detailed and provided me with way more knowledge than expected. I definitely feel more confident and less intimidated by firearm handling after taking the class.
